Vila Pedra Mar

About Ilha Grande
Ilha Grande, a 193 km² island of lush Atlantic rainforest, pristine beaches, and historic ruins, is a protected State Park where motor vehicles are banned and nature flourishes. Well-marked trails lead through vibrant landscapes filled with parrots, hummingbirds, butterflies, and monkeys. In 2019, Ilha Grande and nearby Paraty were jointly designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for their outstanding natural beauty and cultural significance.

How to Get Here
To reach Vila Pedra Mar, make your way to Angra dos Reis pier's Santa Luzia at the city center, where a fast boat departs 2–3 times daily directly to Praia Vermelha, the beach right by our villa. Be sure to book online in advance at Natiga or Aracatibajf and select Vila Pedra Mar as your destination. The boat will drop you off at our private pier.
We also have a trusted taxi driver available for private transfers from Rio to Angra, and private boats too from Angra to the Vila
Contact us if you'd like to arrange this service.
⚠️ Do not travel via Conceição de Jacareí — boats from there only go to Abraão.
Activities at Vila Pedra Mar
Whether you prefer pure relaxation or light adventure, the Villa offers both. Swim, snorkel, explore nearby caves, or follow the scenic trail just behind the property to reach beaches and villages.
For those wanting to venture farther, we also offer boat tours to the island’s most stunning and remote spots
This peaceful fishing village, home to just over 150 residents, offers a handful of charming restaurants and daily ferry service to Angra dos Reis. Named after a local legend of fire-lit sands turning red, Praia Vermelha is rich in stories—among them, the sunken remains of the California steamer, lost to the sea in 1866, perhaps by pirate hands.
